The CFL head office released the 2012 schedule this morning. For the Riders, the pre-season starts with a June 13 game in Vancouver against the Grey Cup champion B.C. Lions. Then they host the Calgary Stampeders on June 22. As far as the regular season goes, the Riders open on the road against Andy Fantuz and his new Ti-Cat teammates in Hamilton on June 29. The Riders play their first home game against the Edmonton Eskimos on July 8.

You can view the full schedule here (be sure to select the Central time zone). One noteworthy change from last year is that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts will resume their home-and-home rivalry around Labour Day after a one-year break. Also, there’s no game in the Maritimes this season. And the Riders  play the B.C Lions four times this year, so that will make their quest to return to the playoffs in 2012 that much more challenging.
