I don’t know how many of the people who are regular visitors to this blog are part of the Facebook universe, but if you are you’ve perhaps heard of a new page that appeared in October called Vintage Regina.

It’s dedicated to the display of and commentary on old photographs of Regina. If you visit the site, you’ll find photos like the one posted above which is taken at the mid-point of 1900 block Scarth St. looking north.

Among the buildings on display are the McCallum Hill Building on the left (where Hill Tower I now stands) and the Capitol Theatre on the right (where the Crown Life Building stands today). As you can also see, the photo predates the construction of the Cornwall Centre and creation of the F.W. Hill Mall.
