Avengers Assembled

I haven’t lived with my nephew for a good while now, so I’m hearing about all his alphabet troubles and victories on a bit of a delay. Regardless, I feel like the two of us are in sync when it comes to the Marvel movies, i.e. we both the loved the heck out of Captain America: The First Avenger.

I get the feeling we’re going to be having a really, really good movie-going time next May. Not as good as we’ll be having at the end of November, but still. As long as the little guy is down with Nine Inch Nails, by the sound of the trailer.

  1. Looks like all the other Marvel movies that have been released in the past five years… except all in the same place. One gets a sense that this is the film they originally wanted to make, but since they were awash in cash, they decided to make a film for each individual memeber (except whoever Ms. Johansson is) and milk the shit out of it. Downey provides witticisms that break the fourth wall and everyone, hopefully, has a good time at this popcorn-fest.

  2. Anonymous: Scarlett Johansson plays superspy Black Widow. She was in Iron Man 2. Moon Daddy: They also didn’t make a film about Hawkeye (the boring guy with the bow), although he had a boring cameo in Thor.
