Bahamas’ “Lost In The Light”

A good friend of mine by the name Arden has a bit of an obsession with this song. It’s kind of impressive. I texted her this morning to see what her iTunes play count for the song was at. The answer? 706. I then asked her if I could share that with Dog Blog readers and, in the time it took her to respond, she’d added an additional seven plays onto that.

And why not? The lead track off Bahamas’ 2012 record, Barchords, is lovely and sad and a little trance inducing if you listen to it enough. If that doesn’t sound like your speed on a holiday Monday, look at the video for another cut off that album, “Caught You Thinking”, the official showcase for Afie Jurvanen’s playful side.

  1. FYI – up to 887.

I think it’s the trance inducing part that she likes. I’m awaiting the inevitable transition from spacing out to Bahamas to, you know, listening to trance music.
