Giant Icicle Menaces Saskatoon!

We’re a little late out of the starting blocks with this story, as the Leader-PostCBC, and probably numerous other media outlets in Saskatchewan have already reported on it, but apparently a giant three-story icicle has formed outside an apartment building in Saskatoon. And it’s got local residents plenty worried.

  1. Stephen and I were talking about this for a bit today. Verdict on my part: this is a big deal for the people who live in the apartments around the icicle, and I really hope that thing doesn’t come crashing down and that they all stay safe.

    That said, “Apartment dwellers fear giant icicle” is the second Saskatchewan headline in less than a week that makes it sound like we’re plagued by mundane supervillains. The other: “Growing White City thirsty for power”, thanks to CBC.
