God of Carnage

No pick of the day today, instead here’s a heads up about a play being presented by Golden Apple Theatre Company. You perhaps remember the movie version of God of Carnage from two years ago. It was directed by Roman Polanski and starred Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz as two couples who meet to discuss a playground incident involving their 11-year-old sons. Things spiral out of control, however, and all sorts of tensions between the couples surface.

Golden Apple Theatre is presenting the play Jan. 30-Feb. 10 at Artesian on 13th. To give you a taste of the story, here’s the trailer for the Polanski film:

Author: Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

  1. It’s a live performance of the play the movie was based on. It was written by Yasmina Reza and was first performed in Zurich in 2006 and in London and Paris in 2008.
