Into Eternity

Hailing from Regina, Into Eternity have rocked the Queen City countless times over their 17-year history. This concert, though, marks another milestone moment for them as it’ll be the first since the band’s most recent line-up change. That was occasioned by the amiable departure in May of guitarist Justin Bender. He’s being replaced by Matt Cuthbertson (who also fronts and plays lead guitar in the metal band Untimely Demise).

Into Eternity is expected to release their sixth studio album soon. After this gig tonight at the Exchange, they’ll be headlining Saturday night at the Metal Wizard Open Air Festival at Valhalla Acres outside of Saskatoon.

Sharing the bill tonight at the Exchange are Itchy Stitches, Memorial and Suffersurge. Doors at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $10 advance and $15 door. To get everyone pumped here’s a video from a few years ago for Into Eternity’s song “Timeless Winter”:

  1. That sounds REALLY GOOD. Looks like vocalist Stu Block is still in the band, despite being in Iced Earth? Man of many voices, he is.

  2. No, he’s not with the band any more. Amanda Kiernan has been the full-time vocalist since late 2013. When I went looking on YouTube for a video to post I likely couldn’t find anything with her in it (of decent sound quality anyway) so I went with an old video off of the 2006 album The Scattering of Ashes.
