Karma is a Bitch (Saskatchewan Edition)

Remember the video Steve posted the other day where a cute little girl cries her eyes out after the Chicago Bears got beat at home by the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game on Jan. 23?

How many Saskatchewan Roughrider fans are doing the exact same thing tonight, I wonder, in connection with this move by the Bears.

  1. I, personally, am proud of Andy Fantuz being signed by the Bears. I would gladly like to see ANY Rider have NFL success and recognition.

  2. I wish he was staying here. I wish him the best there. It’s not like he’s signing with Calgary or somewhere like that.

  3. It will be interesting to see how Fantuz fares. I don’t know that he has the tools to be an impact player in the NFL (too big and slow to be a wideout, not big and strong enough to be a tight end). If the NFL has a prolonged lockout, that will cut into the pre-season camps and maybe even the season and limit his ability to make an impression with the coaches who will likely be more inclined to stick with proven players. He could end up on the practice roster. That’s what happened to Chick last year with Indianapolis. You’re living the NFL dream in that situation, I suppose, although if you never see the field it strikes me as a bit of a waste. Of course, Fantuz is still relatively young and if it doesn’t work out he still has plenty life left in his CFL career.
