Pick Of The Day: An Evening Of Cowboy Stories & Songs

There shouldn’t be any shortage of cowboy hats and boots at this concert at Casino Regina Lounge tonight. Featured will be a special collaboration by famed country/folk singer Ian Tyson and Corb Lund — a rising star on the Canadian music scene who recently played the Gateway Festival at Bengough.

I don’t have a ton of info on how this show is going to work (other than that it starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $60 and $65) but it seems likely that they’ll be a mix of music and stories about cowboy culture in western Canada.

Of the two performers, Tyson is better known. So to bring everyone up to speed on Corb Lund here’s the zombie-themed video for “Dig Gravedigger Dig” off his 2012 album Cabin Fever:
