The Cathedral Village Arts Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Hats off to it, you’re perhaps thinking. If so, you’re of the same mind as festival organizers who chose “Hats Off!” as the theme for the 2011 festival. Not everything that’s going on at the festival (which opens tomorrow with the traditional festival parade and picnic at Les Sherman Park [College & Elphinstone], and runs until May 28) is tied specifically to the theme. But there are a number of events where hats do figure prominently including a Mad Hatter Mash-Up next Saturday afternoon that’s described as a blend of hockey and croquet played on a sculpture-filled Wonderland.
