Pick of the Day (Tomorrow Edition): City & Colour

Dallas Green first made his name in the Canadian music industry as one of the principal members of the hard-rocking Ontario quintet Alexisonfire. In 2004, he started a solo project called City & Colour. Now that Alexisonfire has officially disbanded, it’s his sole musical focus.

Thursday night, City & Colour are playing a concert at Conexus Arts Centre (doors at 7 p.m.).  Low Anthem is the back-up band, and tickets are $39.50 adv.

Green derived the name for his solo project, by the way, from his own name: Dallas, which is a city; and Green, which is a colour. To close, here’s video from a few years ago of Green and his band performing “Sleeping Sickness”.
