Pick of the Day: Devin Townsend Project

Probably best-known as the founder of the Canadian heavy metal band Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend took a brief hiatus after SYL broke up in 2007, and has since restarted a solo project that he’s been involved with off and on since 2002.

In the last three years, Devin Townsend Project have released four albums: Ki, Addicted, Deconstruction and Ghost. On this tour, which started in the U.K. in early November they’ve been playing selections from all four records.

Tonight, the Devin Townsend Project is at the Distrikt. To close, here’s the video for “Juular” off the album Deconstruction which will give you a pretty good sense of what sort of sonic experience people who attend can expect tonight.
