Pick of the Day: In A Better World

If you notice, there’s a disconnect between the title of this post and the poster at the left. That’s because the latter shows the original title of this movie by Danish director Susanne Bier.

Regardless, it’s a darn fine flick. It has wins at both the Golden Globes and Academy Awards (Best Foreign Language Film) to it’s credit, and concerns a doctor struggling to cope with family issues at home, including a son who’s being bullied in school, while also performing charity work at a refugee camp in Africa where people have been victimized by gang violence.

In A Better World screens tonight at the RPL Theatre at 9 p.m. Here’s the trailer.
