Guest artist for this Regina Symphony Orchestra Masterworks concert is pianist Martin Leung. If you Google Leung’s name, you’ll see that he’s known as the Video Game Pianist. That’s because he was one of the first musicians to start playing music from video games both live and in on-line videos.

Joining Leung as special guests at tonight’s concert at Conexus Arts Centre (8 p.m. start) are the South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra. Featured works include: Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slave;  Liszt’s: Concerto for Piano No. 1 and Richard Strauss’s Also Sprach Zarathustra.

Also on tonight, venerable Regina rockers Method 2 Madness will be playing a show at the Distrikt to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band. Doors are at 8 p.m., with the show set to get going at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.
