Pick of the Day: It’s a Blunderful Life

It’s comedy night in Regina. Appearing at Conexus Arts Centre at 8 p.m. is veteran Canuck stand-up comic Derek Edwards who bills himself as the second most famous person to break big in show business from Timmins. The first being Shania Twain.

To give you a taste, here’s video of Edwards doing a bit called “Out to Lunch.”

Author: Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

  1. Remember that viral video from a year or two ago, “United Breaks Guitars”? Dave Carroll is from Timmins too.

To airline companies who give cruddy service, he is the second-most famous person from Timmins.

He’s my cousin’s son too. And a darned good singer/songwriter.
