Pick of the Day: James Minifie Lecture

The interview Stephen LaRose did in our Jan. 13 issue with the guest at tonight’s  School of Journalism-sponsored Minifie Lecture kind of went off the rails.

As host of the CBC Radio morning news program The Current Anna Maria Tremonti (pictured) regularly wades into all sorts of interesting stories and gets to talk to all sorts of fascinating people. Rather than quiz her about some of her more memorable interviews Rosie elected to deliver his own mini-Minifie Lecture on the same topic that Tremonti plans to discuss– the state of journalism today.

Oh well.

For the record, the official title of Tremonti’s talk is Taking Our Journalism Back . It’s at University Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
