Pick of the Day: Les Hommes Sans Chapeaux

That’s what my friends and I, in our best Preston Manning French, used to call this band when they first broke big in the mid-80s. Since band members Ivan, Stefan and Colin Doroschuck, along with Jeremie Arrobas, all hailed from Montreal, it was a natural fit.

The New Wave band’s biggest hit, of course, was “Safety Dance” in 1983. But they also charted high with “Pop Goes the World” in 1987 and “Hey Man” in 1989.

Tonight, Men Without Hats are at Casino Regina. To get you in the mood, here’s the video for their 1987 hit “Pop Goes the World”.
