Pick Of The Day (Tomorrow Edition): Matthew Good

Matthew Good presumably needs no introduction to Canadian music fans. In his 20 plus year career he’s definitely gone through some ups and downs both personally and professionally. That was dramatically recounted in his 2007 album Hospital Music that dealt with issues like his divorce, diagnosis with bipolar disorder and an addiction to Ativan.

In September Good released his sixth solo album Arrows of Desire.¬†And Sunday he’s in town to play a show at Pure Ultra Lounge on Dewdney Ave. Sharing the bill is the Coburg, ON-based alt rock band¬†Gentlemen Husbands. Doors are at 8 p.m. and tickets are $40.

And to give you a sense of what Good’s new album is like here’s the video for his latest single “Hey Hell Heaven”:

Author: Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.
