Pick Of The Day: May Day

For several years now the local punk/hard rock label Harvest King Records has presented this musical salute to May’s arrival and the start of what will hopefully be a solid summer of fun and warm weather. I believe this marks the first year when there’s been snow on the ground, and while that’s more than a little disconcerting, it’s also all the more reason to get out and party.

Shows will go at both the SCES Club and Exchange with the line-up featuring Dayglo Abortions, Bogue Brigade, Herd of Wasters, Royal Red Brigade, Black Thunder, Soiled Doves and more. Doors are at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20.

To get you pumped here’s video of the Dayglo Abortions from a 2010 show in St. John’s:
