This should be an interesting experiment. Typically, you’d expect a band like Metric, which is touring in support of their fifth full-length Synthetica which was released in June, to play Saskatoon instead of Regina as far as Saskatchewan gigs go.

Not only are they playing Regina, they’re doing a show Friday night at the 6000 seat Brandt Centre. It’s a bit of a gamble, perhaps. But tickets, at $29.50 and $45, are reasonably priced. And they are being backed up by another relatively high profile Canadian band Stars, who were in town in August to play a main stage show at the Regina Folk Festival.
