Pick Of The Day (Tomorrow Edition): John Wort Hannam

Based in Alberta now, folk singer John Wort Hannam was born on Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, which is a British Crown Dependency located just off the French coast near Normandy. As a performer he’s been active since 1998, and has five albums to his credit, the most recent being Brambles & Thorns which was released last October.

Sunday night Hannam will be in town to play a show at the Artful Dodger. Things should get going around 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 adv., and $12 door. To give you a taste, here’s video from a few years ago of Hannam performing “Requiem For A Small Town” at a show in North Hollywood:
