What would summer in Regina be without the Queen City Ex? Admittedly, with all the amusement parks that have opened in the past 20 years or, the lure of the midway isn’t quite what it once was. But there’s still a whole pile of special attractions like Stampede Wrestling, Time Machine Theatre, Kids’ World and the Petting Zoo to draw people in and keep them entertained.

Let’s not forget the Grandstand performers, either (free with gate admission). This year’s headliners are Finger Eleven (tonight), Hot Chelle Rae (Thursday), Trooper & Honeymoon Suite (Friday), Kellie Pickler (Saturday) and Carly Rae Jepsen (Sunday).

For more info on all the acts and attractions visit www.thequeencityex.com And to get you pumped up, here’s the video for Jepsen’s 2001 song “Tug of War”:

I want to give you a heads up too about a benefit concert going Thursday night at McNally’s Tavern.  Performing are local blues/rock/country acts the Dan Silljer Band with Black Drink Crier. Tickets are $10 at door, and proceeds go to Creative Kids Saskatchewan.
