Pick of the Day: She Box Honey

Here’s a link to a story I did in our Jan. 13 issue on a three-month residency that New Dance Horizons is doing at the MacKenzie Art Gallery. The residency is called MAGDANCE, and it kicks off tonight with a free performance featuring three works (She, Box & Honey) choreographed and/or performed by Paul-Andre Fortier (pictured) and Robin Poitras.

The performance is at the Kenderdine space at the MacKenzie, and starts at 8 p.m.

Also on tonight, the Regina Symphony Orchestra is presenting Blazin’ Trumpets as part of its Masterworks Series. Guest artist is trumpter Andrew McCandless, and the program will include works by Tovey (Songs of the Paradise Saloon) and Stravinsky (Firebird). The concert is at Conexus Arts Centre at 8 p.m. For more info call 586-9555.
