Pick of the Day: Spring Is In the Air

Pictured at left is the guest artist for tonight’s Masterworks Concert by the Regina Symphony Orchestra: violinist Natasha Korsakova. Of Russian ancestry, Ms. Korsakova is apparently a descendent of famous 19th century Russian composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

There’s nothing by him on the program tonight, but there is a work by another noted Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Pieces by Strauss, Debussey, Fleming and Lalo will also be performed.

The concert is at Conexus Arts Centre, and the first bow will be drawn at 8 p.m. For ticket info call 791-6395.

About Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

She reminds me of one of James Bond’s girls? Except this lady doesn’t play the cello.
