Pick of the Day: Sweatshop Union

Considering the heat wave we’re in the midst of in Regina, it’s not inappropriate that the Vancouver-based hip hop outfit Sweatshop Union should be playing a gig at the Exchange tonight. Here’s the video for their song “High Grade”.

  1. Wow…all I can say is wow. I haven’t been to a show that brutal in a long time. I’m sure Sweat Shop was great once they actually went on. We sat there until Midnight listening to what can only be described as one of the worst hip hop groups I have ever heard. Raunchy, lyrically challenged Regina *thugs* talking about Bitch Ass Ni$$as and Compton (which I am SURE they visit all the time). They were on for what seemed like eternity and a piece of my soul died just listening to them. I would like to thank the Exchange for giving us a refund when we had finally had enough. It might have been worth the wait if the rumors that there was still another opening act to go would have been false. Disappointing!!

  2. You guys should Report on local hip-hip and other music more often try to find someone people need the hype
