Pick of the Day: The Oh Wells

Yeah, it’s Tuesday night. Which means most of you probably have to get up early to work tomorrow. But if you don’t, or have the requisite stamina to tough out a day after the night before, you might consider checking out this Vancouver based geek pop band (pictured at left) at O’Hanlon’s Pub in beautiful downtown Regina.

They’re fronted by Sarah Jickling, and judging by their bio, they aren’t too far removed from high school, so not surprisingly most of their songs have a sweet angsty teen/young adult vibe to them.

Also on the bill are the Regina dance-pop band The Fortunate Isles. To give you a sense of The Oh Wells, here’s video of them performing an acoustic version of their song “Is It Too Late to Apologize”.
