Pick of the Day: The Oscars

I doubt any of the below-noted scores/songs will be performed by the Regina Symphony Orchestra at Conexus Arts Centre tonight. But down the road, who knows? That’s because this annual concert, as the title implies, is designed to showcase music composed specifically for motion pictures.

As always, Reginans who attend are encouraged to dress as their favourite movie star to heighten aura of Hollywood glamour. To close, here’s a list of 2011 nominees for the Academy’s two main music awards which will be handed out Feb. 27 in Los Angeles:
