2011 has been quite the year for the The Sheepdogs. The Saskatoon retro rockers rocketed to fame when they won an on-line contest put on by Rolling Stone that landed them on the cover of the magazine. As part of the competition, they played the Bonaroo and Osheaga festivals this summer, and also toured with the Kings of Leon and performed on Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel. They even signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records.
Thursday night, the band is playing a show at the Distrikt with back-up band Monster Truck. The show’s been sold out for ages, so if you don’t have a ticket already, looks like you’re SOL. To close, here’s the video for their song “I Don’t Know”.
