Pick of the Day: Beethoven For Winds

In late November the Regina Symphony Orchestra presented Ode to Ludwig at Conexus Arts Centre as part of its Masterworks Concert Series. It won rave reviews. Now, the RSO Chamber Players are presenting this program at Government House.

The concert goes tonight at 8 p.m., with a repeat performance Sunday at 3 p.m.

Donations of gently used books, sheet music, CDs and DVDs for the annual RSO Book Sale (April 12 – 21, 2012) can be dropped off at the Golden Mile Shopping Centre each Saturday from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m. Please take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Collection barrels should be in various businesses in the Shopping Centre in the next week.

  3. That’s great news, Barb. Now that I have a Kindle, the RSO is welcome to all of my — damn, what are those things called, again? — right, that’s it, books. The RSO is welcome to all my books. Except for one. I’ve promised “The Gang That Wouldn’t Write Straight” to Whitworth.

  4. Here’s a question for you: some of us like to have 2 or 3 books on the go at once; can that be done with an e-reader?
