Pick of the Day (Tomorrow Edition): Caracol

This concert at the Exchange Thursday night is presented by the Regina  Folk Festival. Featured is the Montreal-based singer-songwriter Caracol (pictured). I’m not sure if she’ll be appearing alone, or in the company of other musicians, but her music has been described as a blend of folk and Jamaican rocksteady with a vintage ’50s feel.

Doors for this all-ages show tomorrow are at 7:30 p.m.,  and tickets are $15 adv. and $20 door. Advance tickets can be obtained by calling the Globe Theatre box office at 525-6400.

To give you a sneak peak, here’s live video from 2010 of Caracol performing her song “L’autel de L’absence”.

About Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

I’m not going unless there are women in lingerie playing football. Sorry. That’s my cut-off for women’s entertainment.
