Pick Of The Day (Tomorrow Edition): Lee Harvey Osmond

The genre label that’s been attached to this Ontario-based band fronted by Tom Jackson (Junkhouse, Blackie & the Rodeo Kings) is psychedelic folk. When Wilson formed the band, Michael Timmons from Cowboy Junkies and Josh Finlayson from the Skydiggers were also on board. They’ve since departed, but the band continues to pick up steam, with their second album The Folk Singer being long-listed for the 2013 Polaris Prize.

Wednesday night Lee Harvey Osmond are in town to play a show at Artesian on 13th (8 p.m. tickets $30). To give you a taste here’s video of Wilson doing an acoustic version of “Devil’s Load” off The Folk Singer:
