Pick of the Day (Tomorrow Edition): Said The Whale

I reviewed the latest CD for this Vancouver-based quintet, who won the 2011 Juno for Best New Group, in our March 8 issue. The CD is called Little Mountain, and it’s that disc that the band is touring in support of now.

Monday night’s gig was originally booked for a new art & culture venue the Artful Dodger which is located just east of the downtown at 1631 11th Ave., but it’s still in the midst of renovations, so the show has been moved to the Exchange.

The back-up band is Chains of Love, and tickets are $18.

To give you a taste of Said the Whale, here’s the Back to the Future-themed video for the band’s song “Lines” off their 2011 EP New Brighton
