Pick of the Day: Une Soiree a Paris

This RSO Masterworks concert will undoubtedly capture some of the aura of Paris. But in addition to works by French composers like Ravel, Berlioz and Debussey, there will also be a piece by French Canadian composer Hector Gratton (1900-1970) so it does celebrate French culture in general.

Guest-artist for tonight’s concert, which goes at Conexus Arts Centre at 8 p.m., is pianist Michael Kim. To give you a taste of his talent here’s an audio recording of Kim playing Chopin’s famous funeral march Sonata No. 2:
