Regina Rage

This post shouldn’t be taken as an endorsement of Regina’s new franchise in the Lingerie Football League. Rather, it is simply intended to provide readers with information on what the franchise’s new name is and what the logo looks like.

The logo was designed by a local firm, and the team name was selected from over 7,000 entries. Here’s how an LFL spokesperson describes it: the logo and branding include green, black and white color scheme and fierce female pirate illustrating the aggression, beauty and confidence of an LFL athlete.

For women who might be interested in trying out for the team, there will apparently be a football combine held somewhere at Evraz Place on March 31. Hopefuls are advised to be there by 7:30 p.m. For the exact location of the tryouts you can try calling 1-703-870-8014.

About Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

Thus marking the return after a decades-long absence the use of The J. Geils Band’s “Rage in the Cage” over sporting event loudspeakers.

After seeing some pictures of the league athletes in action, I now cannot get out of my head the “executioners” from Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life.

It would be interesting to see the turnout for the try outs… There are 3 teams (?) in Canada right now, supposedly Winnipeg and Vancouver… I wonder if gals from Alberta and those who didn’t make the Winnipeg team will be allowed to strut their stuff? Or would that be considered “stacking” the team… Not the only stack that will be appearing on the LFL field anyway…
