This is from a few days ago, but when Federal Conservative Natural Resources minister Joe Oliver held a press conference in Vancouver on Monday to discuss measures to improve oil tanker safety (as part of the government’s push to sell Canadian energy into the Asian-Pacific market) the oil spill clean up ship that was to be part of the photo-op ended up getting stuck on an uncharted sandbar at the mouth of the Fraser River.
