  1. The organizer of the event near Revelstoke should be presented with the bill for the search and rescue, and if he required the participants to sign waivers, these should be nullified by a civil court so that he can be sued. It’s not much, but until there’s regulation, it’s something.

  2. Barb…. About the organizer getting the bill for the search and rescue, I heard something on the CBC (I think it was) today that that might actually happen.

  3. Apparently a lot of very expensive sleds were damaged in the slide. Anyone know if snowmobiles are covered by insurance when they are destroyed in an avalanche?
