Things That Make Rosie Go Hmmm ….

Our family went Sunday-go-to-meeting this morning, and on the drive to and from there, I saw at least a dozen Vote Yes signs on peoples’ lawns. I didn’t see any Vote No Signs, apart from the ones on billboards and on City property.

So, one has to wonder? Is the Vote No campaign an astroturf one — no grass-roots but a lot of money? And If City Hall won’t listen to people today, then what’s it going to be like for the next three years if City Hall loses this referendum?

  1. They are putting Vote No signs on City property??

And, as for what it’s going to be like for the next three years after City Council loses this referendum – All I’m going to say is wait for this Tuesday. Enough should be announced that will answer all your questions and more! (See my blog for details)

  2. City Council has pretty much always been a bunch of real estate people looking to use city hall as a way to monetize things they own. Listen to citizens? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAhhahahahahahahaa…..good one

  3. Personally, I’m looking at the P3 vote as a vote of (non) confidence. I think City Hall has to face the fact that, if they had laid out all the details of their plan, including ALL the information they’ve redacted (another topic I can’t even talk about…seeing red…must remain calm…), this referendum may not be happening.

The truth is, for me, that I’m voting yes simply because I don’t believe or trust council anymore. I don’t have enough information from either side to make a truly informed decision, but my total lack of trust in council colours my vision far too much.
