Today’s Mystery Guest

Identify this man.

Author: Gregory Beatty

Greg Beatty is a crime-fighting shapeshifter who hatched from a mutagenic egg many decades ago. He likes sunny days, puppies and antique shoes. His favourite colour is not visible to your puny human eyes. He refuses to write a bio for this website and if that means Whitworth writes one for him, so be it.

  1. It is indeed. The Riders traded up in the draft (sending the second and fourth pick overall to the Toronto Argonauts, along with punter Jamie Boreham, in exchange for the first and eighth pick overall). The Riders then drafted Williams #1. Out of Queens University, Williams was rated the top Canadian college prospect by CFL scouts. Six foot two, 236 lbs, he played three years at the University of Houston before helping Queens win the Vanier Cup last fall as a starting linebacker. As a rookie with the Riders, he’s expected to see action primarily on special teams while being groomed to become a defensive starter either as a linebacker or rush end.

With 8th pick overall, by the way, the Riders selected Regina Ram receiver Jordan Sisco.
