Friday Afternoon Kitty: Everyone’s Pals

I try not to anthropomorphize animals, but you know what? Humans are animals. If we can enjoy the company of creatures wildly different than us: pets, horses, this guy I know who sells real estate and votes Conservative — why can’t animals? Take hunger and starvation off the table and all kinds of cute bonding happens.

It’s not anthropomorphizing. It’s what birds, mammels mammals and some other big-brained critters do. And it’s damn cute. Nature is savage, but it’s sociable, too.

  1. Actually, the only way we wouldn’t be animals is if we had leaves. Then we would be some sort of weird plant/animal hybrid.

  2. Read first, carefully, then comment, dear Amy. Frankly, I think that Stephen put that glitch in there just for my benefit. I mean, “mammels”? Seriously?

  3. Jeez, I can’t believe I typed that. That’s what happens when it’s Friday afternoon and you haven’t had beer yet. Thanks Barb!

  4. Sadly, it wasn’t for Barb’s benefit. I often spell badly when I’m rushing. I usually catch my mistakes when I proofread, which I didn’t do here.

    Also, like I said, I was beer-deprived.

  5. Great dawn! I shouldn’t be correcting spelling/gramatical/usage errors: I should be prescribing beer!

  6. Also, thanks for the comments, Ron and Amy C.

And Ron: I’ve seen that video and I’m sure I posted it at some point. It’s good!

  7. #11 yes you did.

Beer deprived too. Change the home brew laws in SP Land!

When I lived in B.c home brew was sort of the norm. you could buy yer wort( in pre- mixed cans ) at the Overwaitea.
Back then a gross of beer was 5 cents each, including the caps.

  8. The 2 cats….eagle and fox are all waiting for one thing. FOOD!

They all come to where they know they will be fed.
