So TSN is reporting that the Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed former Edmonton head coach Chris Jones to be the team’s GM and head coach.
Jones is coming off a Grey Cup win with Edmonton, and is supposedly a no-nonsense type of guy with a bit of an acerbic streak and a knack for constructing solid defences.
Jones wouldn’t have come cheap. The salary being touted in media reports was $600,000. But with his signing, the rebuild for 2016 has officially started. Should be interesting.
