Machete Don’t Tweet, or Knows Grammar

I had high hopes for the first Machete, it seemed to be the ultimate Latino-exploitation movie with two people perfect for the gig, Robert Rodríguez and Danny Trejo. Alas, Trejo (as Machete) disappeared for long stretches of the film and the final faceoff, with a seriously out of shape Steven Seagal, was truly underwhelming.

Based on the trailer for the sequel Machete Kills, Rodríguez seems to have amped up the cheese factor. In what other circumstances Charlie Sheen could be the U.S. President, and Mel Gibson could be… well, in anything? Machete Kills open next October 11th.
