Pick of the Day: Blue Man Group

Not to be mistaken for Winnipeg Blue Bomber fans, who will be descending on Regina next weekend with the expectation of their CFL East Division leading football team pummelling the Riders in the annual Labour Day classic, this is a trio of blue-painted individuals who, through music, video and other multi-media theatrics, endeavour to delight and confound those who attend their show.

Blue Man Group were in town acouple of years ago to play a show at Brandt Centre. Now, they’re back to do a three-night run at Conexus Arts Centre. Tonight, things get going at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26 it’s at 8 p.m., and Aug. 27 there’s shows at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets range from $47-$72.

Here’s video of the Blue Man Group (with singer Venus Hum) performing the old Donna Summer disco standard “I Feel Love” at a show a few years ago.

  1. I feel as though the Blue Man Group is a bit of a mysterious affliction I’ve been living with now for the better part of 15 years that never seems to go away.
