We get into scrapes on the blog occasionally with some commenters championing the need for our city to do a better job of protecting Regina’s built heritage, and others weighing in to say that while heritage is nice, it shouldn’t trump the legitimate needs of businesses and homeowners to do what they want with their properties.

Throughtout the summer, Heritage Regina has been hosting free walking tours where they try to encourage Reginans to familiarize themselves with their city and its history. Today,  Grace Alexopoulos will be conducting a walking tour of the Transition Area which is generally defined as the area bounded byVictoria Ave. and College Ave between Albert and Broad St. People interested in joining Grace should gather at the Central Park Gazebo (Hamilton & 14th Ave.) at 2 p.m.
