Pick of the Day: Jody Glenham

It’s not every day that a new band debuts in Regina. Although it’s not exactly a rare occurrence either, as bands do have a habit of coming and going fairly regularly in the city.

Still, tonight at the Club a new band called LoveAct will play its first gig. The band is composed of Brett Dolter, Jason Cawood, Darcy MacIntyre  and Lauren Fournier. Both Dolter and MacIntyre have stints with Library Voices to their credit, while Cawood is a member of the Regina performance art collective Turner Prize, and Fournier is a recent graduate in a new interdisciplinary Arts & Culture program at the University of Regina.

Tonight, LoveAct is backing up Vancouver singer-songwriter Jody Glenham (pictured). She’s returning home after performing at  NxNE in Toronto. To give you a taste of what she has to offer, here’s the video for her song “One Shot”

Also on tonight, the Joey Only Outlaw Band are playing at Bushwakker at 9 p.m.
