Here’s a link to a story Carle Steel did on this 8th incarnation of Regina’s Biennial Queer Arts Festival. I did a related sidebar that ran in our print issue that offered a bit of a breakdown on what people could expect to see. As I noted, over the years the festival has expanded from being focussed on queer-themed film and video to also include visual and performance art, and this year sound art.

The festival runs July 8-19. For more information on all the events that are being held, check out www.queercitycinema.ca And to give you a bit of a taste of what the festival has to offer, here’s the trailer for a documentary by former Regina filkmmaker David Geiss called Stubblejumper that screened at the 2008 festival. (YouTube)
