So, did you catch the big-ass typo we had in our May 6 issue?
It’s passed the deadline for entering the contest, so if told you about it I don’t think I’d be breaking any typo wiener rule or anything (although God knows, that paragraph at the end of the blurb reads like a section of the Income Tax Act).
On the other hand, if I told you about the typo now it would spoil the surprise of actually reading the wiener blurb on our May 20. So maybe I won’t Although the screw-up was such a big-ass one that I doubt many – – if any — of you missed it.
Anyway, tonight at the Distrikt Regina folk/pop/rockers Rah Rah have a CD Release. Backing them up are Olenka and the Autumn Lovers (Doors 9 p.m. $10 adv.) Also on tonight, Daughtry is at Brandt Centre with Lifehouse and Cavo (7:30 p.m. $35, $45.) Expect an extremely high female to male ratio at this one.
At 1475 Toronto St., there’s some sort of rave/party fundraiser. It’s presented by Sensa, which I initally mistook for the lingerie company LaSenza. But when I Googled “Sensa” I got a hit for a natural weight loss system. Proceeds here go to cancer research. ($10 with flyer, $15 without.)
At McNally’s Tavern the Dan Silljer Band is playing. ($5) And at Beer Brothers (1821 Scarth St.) at 7 p.m., James Wright is launching his book The Hangman’s Apprentice.
