Pick of the Day: Tinsel Trees w/Hot Blood Bombers

Should be a rockin’ good gig.

And as chance would have it, we’re in the process of putting the finishing touches on a special feature on local music.  prairie dog is doing one in Regina, while our sister paper Planet S is doing one on the “Bridge” City music scene (Get it? Bridge, as in musical bridge.).

Tinsel Trees and Hot Blood Bombers (pictured) are two of Regina’s better rock bands. You owe it to yourselves to check them out and see what our scene has to offer.

Or catch the Led Zeppelin Tribute Show that’s also on tonight at the Distrikt (doors at 9 p.m. $10). I don’t care..

But to whet your appetite, here’s so-so video of the Bombers performing Die Die Kids at the Western Canadian Music Awards in Moose Jaw. (YouTube)

  1. It’s great to hear about a special feature on local music! Here’s hoping that bands not always high on Regina/Prarie Dog’s radar get some mention, such as The Lazy MKs, CoelacanthDance, Intergalactic Virgin, The Lonesome Weekends, and the like. It feels like much is happening here, and I’m hopeful that Prarie Dog accurately captures that spirit! Huzzzzzzzaaaaah!
