UPDATE: Blog commentator/RSO dude  Taron Cochrane alerts us to a change in programming: Peter Groom has viral laryngitis and won’t be singing tomorrow. He’ll be replaced by baritone Adrian Kramer. That is all.

Lederhosen is optional, I imagine, but if any RSO patrons decide to wear them it would fit the theme of this Masterworks Concert perfectly.

I wouldn’t try yodelling, though. Instead leave the singing to guest artist baritone Peter Groom  (pictured). The program consists of works by Wagner, Mahler, Bruckner and Gesellen, and at some point the RSO will be joined on stage by the South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra.

The baton drops Saturday at 8 p.m. at Conexus Arts Centre. For ticket info call 791-6395.
