Billed as a documentary about “the most famous man you’ve never heard of”, this film by Gracie Otto looks at the life and times of London theatre and film impressario Michael White. In the last 50 years, he’s produced over 300 stage shows and movies. Among them The Rocky Horror Show, Oh! Calcutta! and Monty Python’s The Holy Grail.

Through the risks he took, and the talent he introduced to London and ultimately world-wide audiences, White has had a pretty major impact on the arts and entertainment scene.

The Last Impressario screens at the RPL Theatre Thursday Feb. 26 and Saturday Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. and Friday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Here’s the trailer:
