This week: adapting the classics. We look at Disney’s megaflop, John Carter, as well as the surprisingly excellent Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. And then we look at Geoff Dyer’s book, Zona, which examines Andrei Tarkovsky’s film, Stalker.
Also, Aidan’s apartment building, the Crescent Annex, is probably going to get torn down (not to be confused with the Crescent Apartments which is definitely getting torn down). But for some reason, we don’t get around to talking about that.
But we do dish on all the rumors about Southland theatre’s dismal future. And we explain Happy Days to Shane, because he’s never seen it. I know! Creepy!
